Storage on your device
Key batomon_consent_v1 in localStorage stores your choice and a timestamp. It is kept for 180 days and then treated as expired. Values are granted or denied. The key batomon_ad_bar_v1 stores hidden or shown for the floating ad bar you control from the footer; it has no expiry and stays until you press the button again or clear site data. Apart from those two keys, the Adsterra keys and cookies described below, and the Google Analytics 4 and Clarity cookies, these pages set no first-party cookie.
The inline consent snippet sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage to denied before any config call, and it turns on ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough. The Google tag G-7K5MGFFW3H is configured after those defaults, so it starts denied and only measures with cookies once you press Accept.
Accepting lets Google Analytics 4 write the _ga and _ga_7K5MGFFW3H cookies, which last up to two years, and send page view, engagement and outbound click events to Google. Rejecting, Global Privacy Control, or an expired choice keeps analytics storage denied, so the tag sends no analytics cookie and no user-identified event.
Accepting also lets Microsoft Clarity (this guide's own Clarity project) write the _clck cookie, which lasts up to a year, and the _clsk cookie, which lasts up to a day, and start recording heatmaps and session replays of how the page is used. Before that, the Clarity loader is never injected, so no request reaches clarity.ms and no Clarity cookie exists. Reject, Global Privacy Control, an expired choice, or pressing Reject on the footer Cookie settings control leaves it unloaded; Clarity records no keystrokes or input values inside forms, and its masking settings are left at the defaults.
Accepting also lets Adsterra, the one ad network here, run its auction. Adsterra then writes the sb_main_<social bar unit id> and sb_count_<social bar unit id> cookies on this domain, which remember the floating bar state and how often it appeared, plus two short random-named cookies that its native banner uses for the same purpose, and the localStorage key extendedvaluekey. Observed values on 2026-10-01 were sb_main_30ae20629ad758aa8620bfe9a04d4edb, sb_count_30ae20629ad758aa8620bfe9a04d4edb, vrk4n8fqhwc3jzy7pbsmgt6dx5lha2u9 and dom3ic8zudi28v8lr6fgphwffqoz0j6c, and the random names change between visits. These are advertising cookies whose lifetime is set by Adsterra, not by this site. Before Accept, no Adsterra tag is appended, no request reaches Adsterra and none of these cookies exists.
If navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, the choice is stored as denied and the banner is not shown. Otherwise the footer control labeled Cookie settings reopens the banner so you can change your mind. With Global Privacy Control enabled, that control keeps optional media and ads denied.
After Accept and a separate media click, YouTube or itch.io may set their own cookies under their policies. Reject, Global Privacy Control, or an expired choice blocks these players. Rejecting through Cookie settings removes loaded players; it cannot undo requests already sent. You can still open the official stores or demo in a separate tab under their policies.
Legal basis, rights, and ad settings
Serving the page you asked for is our legitimate interest in publishing the guide. Optional embeds and the consent key rely on your choice. You can request a copy or deletion of any mail you sent us. We do not operate a user account, and we never see the ad auction: Adsterra is the controller of the ad data it collects.
Advertising on batomon.net is served by Adsterra under your consent choice. If you want to review Google’s own ad personalization anyway, use Ads Settings. Industry opt-out pages include Your Online Choices and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. Pressing Reject on this site stops the Adsterra tags from loading at all, and the footer control labeled Hide ad bar removes the floating Social Bar. A browser Do Not Track signal is not a standard we can read reliably; Global Privacy Control is the signal this site honors.
Contact messages are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our Google Gmail mailbox. Cloudflare and Google process that mail, which is separate from page-load requests. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle it. The consent choice is treated as expired after 180 days; its localStorage entry remains on your device until replaced or removed.
