Patch 1.2.0 rules · checked 2026-10-01
Evolution, shinies, and mythicals
Patch 1.2.0 / Balance 24. Facts below are tied to a source checked on 2026-10-01. Anything still open is marked unconfirmed.
Three evolution clocks
Panbud evolves at level 3. Ignit evolves after a victory. Pipskull needs its third knockout: the official 1.1.0 notes changed that condition from two. Riglet is the devour case: next day, the ally in front is consumed and Riglet evolves into Rigalord. 1.0.0 added multi-stage chains to the in-game Batopedia.
Mythicals you can actually name
Gamer, after 1.2.0, shows the mythical this run will offer and lets you inspect it at the start. The 1.0.0 ??? tab collects event Batomon and mythicals. Dragon Egg, from the 1.2.0 notes, can hatch Ouroblaze, Tsunamere, or Stellagon. Stellagon is one of the names people search; this is the hatch line I can tie to a patch, not a full stat block.
Shiny does not replace merge rules
Shiny versions can have different abilities or values: the official 1.1.0 notes separately list shiny Danuki and Lumijel, and 1.2.0 fixes Shiny Dirgefin. Do not assume the normal card applies to its shiny form. A shiny roll does not bypass the standard level-3 merge cap.

Questions on this page
What is the shiny chance?
1 in 200 on a normal roll. Lucky Girl raises it to 10 percent. Rainbow Pearl forces a shiny shop unit when that species has a shiny.
