The snapshot
Endpoint: GetNumberOfCurrentPlayers for 4557380. Response at 2026-10-01T09:23:18.127Z: player_count 1991, result 1. That counts the Steam build only. It does not include Google Play or the itch.io demo.
A different “how many players” number
A community status page the same day cited 4,636 ranked players and a sample of 550 players across 3,147 runs. Ranked population is not concurrent Steam users. Both can be true. I am not averaging them.
What this page will not do
There is no chart of the all-time peak, because I did not pull SteamDB history. Demo player counts from the removed Steam demo are not reconstructed. If you need a peak, use a source that stores history and note its timestamp the same way.
