The second region is Jinto

What is documented

The 1.0.0 in-game notes say “Added the Jinto region with 50+ new Batomon.” Later 1.2.0 notes talk about a Pantra group as the earlier roster and a Jinto group as the newer one. I am using 1.0.0, not 1.1.0, as the patch that introduced Jinto. Some older write-ups put the 50 new Batomon on 1.1.0. The 1.0.0 sentence is the one I am willing to quote.

How other regions show up in the shop

Smuggler, added in 1.2.0, brings Batomon from other regions into your shop. The Traveling Merchant event can offer out-of-region units. From 1.2.0 that merchant can offer Cordycant and Sproach. Those are shop injections, not a map unlock. Future regions are promised free for people who already own the game.

Run history and seeds

1.0.0 added Run History on the main menu. I do not have a verified description of a seed browser or a “first run” flag that gates Jinto. If the client shows a region select I have not documented the button, say so in the contact mail and I will correct this page.
